Seller's Description:
None. Near Fine. A two volume set of this autobiography of Rees Howell Gronow. A Welsh Grenadier Guards officer and celebrated author, Gronow was additionally noted for an impeccable dress sense and overall popularity within society, as well as his keen skill in marksmanship. This set is illustrated throughout with thirty-three hand-coloured plates, collated complete. Rebound in cloth binding with paper-covered boards. Externally very smart indeed, there is only some very minor marking to one board. Internally, the binding is slightly tender in places and the pages are bright and clean throughout aside from the odd mark. Contains a small bookplate to each pastedown. Near Fine.
