Hardcover, no dustjacket, this is volume 1 only of a 2-volume set, 368 pages, cloth binding, illustrated with engravings, cover shows some wear at the corners, bottom edge of rear cover is bowed inward, the original paper spine-label is tanned and brittle, moderate foxing to the engravings but they are still attractive as the foxing is mainly in the margins, text pages are fine, the stitched binding is stretched in a few places but all pages are secure.
