All volumes have the original rejointed cover, a blue hardback with with a gilt decorative stamp and a blindstamped border on the front cover, and gold lettering on the backstrip. The covers are in fair condition on all volumes, with scuffing to the corners and the edges of both covers and the top, bottom and edges of the backstrip. There are a few minor marks on the covers, and the backstrip is dulled with dirt due to shelving. The binding remains firm and intact throughout the pageblock of all volumes, and the pageblock is top edge gilt. The text is in good condition in all volumes, with no annotations, foxing, or other significant markings. The pages are slightly browned with age towards the edges. There is a bookplate signifying ownership inside the front cover of each volume. This book has hardback covers. Ex-library, With usual stamps and markings, In fair condition, suitable as a study copy. No dust jacket.
