This book talks about the work of Alfred Ernest Child and the Irish studio "An Tur Gloine " bringing the Gothic Revival and Arts and Crafts movements to America first through publications and then in commissioned windows brought here and installed. Discover the work of American Charles Connick, a master of painting on glass. At the end of each chapter are Endnotes which give you the names of other books that go into more detail about the movements in each decade. This is a great starting point in studying stained glass; it really makes you want to know more!
