One plate loose and laid in, gutter cracked, title page chipped and taped, scattered foxing, corner worn and bumped, a good only copy being W.W. and Jean Knowles' copy with name penciled on front fly. Inscribed by the author on the front fly in the year of publication. Dr. Alphonso Rockwell was the pioneer of electrotherapy to help treat various physiological and neurological maladies. He has been credited with the invention of the electric chair as a humane way of executing prisoners, which he would later come to regret.
