IT IS THE MOST ASTONISHING STORY IN MODERN RELIGION.What happened to the global humanitarian empire of Herbert W. Armstrong, the worlds leading televangelist and one of the most prominent religious leaders of the 20th century? Followed by millions worldwide his legacy of Bible-based humanitarianism came under attack after he died. The leaders who took control of the church he founded, after pledging to follow in his footsteps, methodically destroyed all he had built. Those who would stop them were silenced or excommunicated. Had it happened in the corporate world, the CEOs and executives responsible for hijacking a corporation and robbing its investors would have been fired, if not prosecuted in a court of law. Here is the shocking, gripping untold story of the doctrinal hijacking and spiritual destruction of the Worldwide Church of God after the death of its founder. It is the story of a cabal of leaders who destroyed Mr. Armstrongs work, sold the churchs assets and hoarded the money. It is the story of the life-and-death, six-year court battle that ensued when a faith-filled few held fast to his mission and sought to defend his legacy by RAISING THE RUINS.

I was into other interests for a long time, When i found out through internet that Worldwide Church of God went through cataclysmic changes. By reading reviews of books about it I found Stephen Flurry's the best. After i read 'Raisng the Ruins' I never looked back. I received from "Alibris' brand new copy, Hard cover with well designed cover sleeve, Well written and nicely set print So it took me a day to read it through. The fight, effort, time, and spent funds shows The legacy of Herbert W Armstrong is safe, to provide foundation for Philadelphia Church of God.

WCG battle
If you were very involved with the 'Apostacy' that took place in the mid 1990's regarding the WCG and it's many splinters this book would be interesting to read. It reveals the mindset and the goals of the men who called themselves 'Spiritual Leaders' and how they deceived the people who believed what they were saying. The book provides a different perspective of what occurred during that time in the history of the WCG.
