Bob Scobey and his Dixielandish Frisco Band attempted to get hip on this project (which has been reissued on CD) by playing a set of then-current pop tunes. Some of the songs (particularly the jazz standards "Yellow Dog Blues," "Blueberry Hill," "C.C. Rider" and "Singing The Blues") were obvious ringers, but these versions of "All Shook Up," "Love Letters In the Sand," "Tammy" and "Bye Bye Love" were certainly unique in their own way.
