This book presents the essential analytical tools of linear systems theory and the theory of stochastic processes that are applicable to any imaging system. Organized into six chapters, this volume begins with an overview of developing a simple yet reasonably realistic model to describe a variety of imaging systems. This text then deals with the different aspects of three-dimensional or tomographic imaging. Other chapters consider the multi-coding procedure, including the use of sequences of zone-plate apertures, the rotating slit aperture, and the time-modulated pseudorandom pinhole array.
