This is all played by the orchestra Rachmaninov and conductor for whom he wrote his last orchestral work, the Symphonic Dances. It is wonderfully played throughout, though the sound is now dated, and tends to be somewhat glassy on the upper strings at times.
There might be other ways to do these symphonies (eg Previn 2, Ashkenazy's cycle, or Rozhdestvensky etc) but these performances are, in my view, absolutely indipensible for any serious symphonic collector's shelves.
