It's an easy way to clean out the vaults, but not much of a boon for collectors, who usually find a few cuts of interest among several that they already own and several that they have no use for. In this specific instance, the selections by The Kinks, Searchers, Dave Davies, the Sorrows, and Episode Six are not only by far the best, but are all easily obtainable on those artists' own albums/compilations. Otherwise, there are some not bad, hard-to-find pop-rockers by The Hellions (including future Traffic members Jim Capaldi and Dave Mason), The Rockin' Berries, and the Riot Squad, some really lame cover versions, and virtually nothing else worth noting. ~ Richie Unterberger, Rovi
