This is the second book in the Cradleland series. Mr. Hirt is a very good writer, mixing biblical information with fiction to write an exceptional Christian fiction book. There is excitement, there is subtle romance, there is mystery and intrigue in this book as well as in the other two books.
His writings and the Reader's Guide keeps one thinking about truth and what could have possibly happened before Noah and the Flood and one can refers back to God's Word-the Bible for the turth.
Very ingrossing reading. Highly recommended

Novels About Angels
I had read about the nephilim in Anne Provoost's book In the Shadow of the Ark and as I went back to read more about them in the Bible, I did a search for books and novels about them. Douglas Hirt's series came up and as I am not a great fan of science fiction, I was hesitant as to whether I would like it.
How pleasantly surprised I was to discover this is a little bit fantasy, but mostly Christian fiction, and follows closely Christian values and the Biblical record. I unknowingly started with this title, which is the 2nd book in a trilogy but have since bought books 1 & 3.
