The inscription is preceded by the former owner's name which is marked out. This First Edition was published by Univ. Chicago in 1955. The covers are in good shape. Edges are rubbed, spine ends are lightly indented, and there is a faint stain near the bottom edge of the front cover. The binding is tight. The interior pages are unmarked.
