She was analyzed by Klein and has become one of the most influential figures within the Klein group of the British Psychoanalytic Society. She has written two books on Klein's work as well as numerous other books and papers, and is noteworthy for her major contribution to applied psychoanalysis (particularly in the fields of literature and politics). This is the first of two volumes compiled in Segal's honour by a group of internationally-renowned psychoanalysts who reflect numerous aspects of her clinical and theoretical work.
