Hollywood has talked about making a movie about the life of Jane Roberts but the controversies inherent in doing this story true to its roots has political obstacles of such proportions that they have never done a film. This writer belongs to the Native American's through Jane's Grandfather who was full blooded Indian from the Northern Adirondacks. She is a modern day "speaker" or Shaman or Medicine Woman. All of her books are clouded in this mystery .The Native American's have political blinders regarding half breeds. ( They call them " Apples" Red on the outside white on the inside. ) If they could get over their prejudice they could sponsor the making of a series of films that would restore the value of Native American Culture; and unify many different cultures in the contemporary means of having spirituality or beingness that everyone can embrace and be thankful for. There is a gap in Native Am. Literature- and this book fills it. This book preserve the past but takes a shot at the future and hits a bulls eye. Jane never referred to herself as "Indian" she was just a human being.
