Although I have only just gotten through chapters 1-5 in Precalculus: A Problems-Oriented Approach, by David Cohen, the book is indeed challenging and applications oriented. I feel, a very firm grip on college algebra is necessary to tackle this book, but the payoff will be complete confidence going into calculus....
