Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Politik - Region: Osteuropa, Note: 1,0, Universit???t Passau, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das vorliegende Werk besch???ftigt sich eingehend mit der polnischen sicherheitspolitischen Kultur, also den wesentlichen Faktoren, welche die Wahrnehmungen ???u???erer Bedrohungen und das Verst???ndnis nationaler Sicherheit der polnischen Entscheidungstr???ger bestimmen. Anla??? hierzu bieten das wiederholte Auftreten Polens als schwieriger Verhandlungspartner im Bereich der europ???ischen Integration, vor allem die ausgepr???gte tansatlantische und nationalstaatliche Orientierung. Diese ???u???ert sich etwa in der beharrlichen Weigerung, eine Minderung des polnischen Stimmengewichtes im Rat der EU hinzunehmen, oder im Veto gegen einen neuen Grundlagenvertrag mit Ru???land. Hierzu wird der noch recht junge Ansatz der sicherheitspolitischen Kultur mit einer konstruktivistischen Au???enpolitiktheorie und der Methode der Diskursanalyse kombiniert. Anhand von polnischen Parlamentsdebatten und Pressematerial werden die wesentlichen Elemente der polnischen sicherheitspolitischen Kultur herausgearbeitet, zu denen insbesondere die Angst vor Deutschland und Ru???land, das Primat der NATO und der polnisch-amerikanischen Beziehungen, Demokratief???rderung in Osteuropa und ein ausgepr???gtes Souver???nit???ts- und Statusdenken geh???ren. Anschlie???end wird Polens Rolle in der Gemeinsamen Au???en-, Sicherheits- und Verteidigungspolitik einer genaueren Betrachtung unterzogen, um die gewonnenen Ergebnisse auf ihre praktische Relevanz hin zu ???berpr???fen. Hierbei zeigt sich, da??? Polen einer weiteren Integration in diesem Bereich grunds???tzlich positiver gegen???bersteht, als allgemein angenommen wird.
