Polgara the Soceress was cleverly written to help understand the abilities of the disciples. You could visualize her beauty, her power, her need to protect the line. A well written account of her long life, with love taking a backseat to her responsibilites.

this is one of David Eddings best . It involves the life of Polgara the daughter of Belgarath the sorcerer. This lady is very opinionated and liberated for someone from the middleages. She has an opinion on everything and a heart full of love for her family and friends. She will go to nearly any measure to protect those she loves using human or sorcerous methods to do so. Don' t get on her bad side it may take a hundred years to fix it. You really need to read the whole series to really get to know this Lady, but once you do you'll love her as I do. This book is definately worth your time to read.
