What a sweet book for a child! Through Crow's crafty trades for his homebaked desserts, lonely Pig learns wisdom and appreciation for a very special friend. To say more would give too much away. There are plenty of things to talk with your kids about when you read this book - hard work and its rewards, the wonder and beauty of a caterpillar, letting go, patience during long waits, and more. Kay Chorao's pictures are delightfully detailed - I love the little box of Sun-Pig raisins - and very warm. You'll enjoy this one!
