what fun! a perfect 'read-aloud'
Our family loves this series by Angie Sage. My married son, aged 33, picked up his wife's copy and read the whole thing in a day. Sage knows how to write a story that you can't put down. It is probably written toward a lower elementary school-aged reader. But my kids are upper-high school, and young adults and we watch anxiously for the next one to come out. I suppose you could call these a younger age's 'Harry Potter'. But they really are unique. Sage is clever and whimsical. She catches you up at the end of each chapter, so that you decide to read 'just a little bit more' until you find that you've stayed up 'til 2 a.m.!
