- None. Fine in Very Good jacket. A two volume reference work of art history, with numerous illustrated plates throughout. In the original French. Each volume is held in the original unclipped dustwrapper. A brilliant art reference work, by the French publishing house Larousse. The publishers seminal work was the 'Le Petit Larousse Illustré' a french language dictionary. This particular volume is a offshoot of of this work, being 'Petit Larousse de la Peinture'. Compiled under the direction of Michel Laclotte the Chief Curator of the Department of Paintings at the Louvre. Laclotte was a highly regarded art historian, who specialised in 14th and 15th century French art. Each volume is profusely illustrated numerous coloured plates. In a full cloth binding, held in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally excellent with some minor shelfwear. Dustwrappers are smart. Three small closed tears to the head of the spine of volume I, with light chipping to the head of the spine of volume II. Tape repair to the head of dustwrapper to volume I. Light bumping to the extremities. Closed tear to the rear of the volume I wrap, no more than 2cm. Very light marks internally to each wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout. Fine.
