These themes are so interwoven with the parousia (the Greek word most often translated "coming" in relation to the "presence"-its actual meaning -of the Messiah at and following His return) that they cannot be divorced from each other without doing an injustice to both of them, a reality that's fully established in The Epistle to the Hebrews. Although this volume is a conglomeration of New Testament passage studies that may appear to concern only matters of eschatology, I assure you that matters of soteriology are a very integral part of them; this means that, even if you aren't of the opinion that the topic of biblical eschatology is of enough import to spend your time reading a work like this, well, I believe this work will change your mind about that!
