Outstanding Reference Material
This 2-volume set is the most comprehensive research accomplished on the Cheyennes and Arapahoes Indians, before and after they split into Northern and Southern groups (so named only because of their location - they did not refer to themselves as Northern or Southern). Virtually every paragraph, and sometimes every sentence, has at least one footnote. The volumes read like a well-written adventure story. Outstanding compilation, exciting and reader-friendly presentation, and outstanding quality research (which I have verified myself on a little more than 50 of his references). His bibliography is more than 20 pages long, and the pages are approximately 8.5x14." My copy is a personal keepsake.
