A Great Overview of a Strange Technology
I write a blog about electric and solar-powered aircraft (www.blog.cafefoundation.org). The technology for much of this is derived from human-powered airplanes, which have been successfully carrying intrepid souls aloft for the last 50 years, even crossing the English Channel and the Straits of Messina. Sherwin was a pioneer in the field and his earlier books gave a good technical understanding of what was required to make workable HPAs. This book reviews the outcomes of many people who have followed his guidelines - marking a wonderful tour of extremely creative efforts.
