An armoured cavalry alumni myself, and because I had two beloved uncles in Third Army, I have collected a veritable library of Patton books. In my view, this is the among the best, perhaps the best of them. It is certainly of the highest quality materials and manufacture. It is filled with pictures I have seen nowhere else and I like the biographical sketches given Patton's subordinate commanders. The book is concise, never strays from the objective and contains no unnessesary verbage. It is the best overview of Third Army activity I have yet read.
