I became interested in General Patton after visiting his Museum and needed a book that would hold my interest. Not being a student of "war", I read reviews, chose this particular book, and am I ever glad I did! The author introduces you to this amazing human being as well as walks you through the man's life and through (some of WWI as well) WWII in an interesting and insightful way. My husband (an avid reader) knew how much I was enjoying this book and when I saw him stroking it tentatively, I hurried and bought him his own copy .... it is not a book to be hurried through as the details of the war are vivid and will make you really want to comprehend the depths of WWII.
