This book is excellent for ages 8 through 12 or so. It's fiction, but based on enough fact that it's educational. The pace of the story is fast enough that it remains interesting, but it's easy to follow. There is enough suspense that it can be hard to put down. I read this book as a child and bought it for my own children. I loved re-reading it even as an adult.
