What is different about this volume (which includes eight Dixieland standards) is that on the last few numbers, Eustis Tompkins takes over on piano and Carson switches to second cornet, playing with his idol (and main influence) Davison. They sound quite complementary on "Royal Garden Blues" and "Struttin' with Some Barbecue." Other hot numbers include "Wolverine Blues," "I Can't Believe that You're in Love with Me" and "Battle Hymn of the Republic."
