The following story is about the birth of the Soursop Hostel. It is a true story, made up of many stories, showing how I found my life's purpose at the most difficult time in my life. The pages within encompass stories and lessons surrounding the depths and difficulties of loss, goals, staying positive, trusting the Universe and never giving up. When it boils down, the Soursop Hostel exists for two reasons: 1.) My desire to raise my daughter. 2.) The power of the Universe. The book was gradually constructed, consisting of journal entries from the past decade, memories put to paper and feedback from the people who helped me along the way. I have organized it all in chronological order to make it easier to read. My main purpose for putting this together was for people to read it and realize that no matter how bad things seem to be at the moment, it is not the end of your story. All of our lives are like a book. You have the power to decide how your story ends.
