One of the biggest hits of the 1951-1952 Broadway season was the revival of Pal Joey. Capitol got the rights to the cast album, but couldn't use the stars, who had already recorded the score for Columbia, so they substituted with Jane Froman and Dick Beavers, plus the revival cast.
