Director Carlo Carlei did not disappoint with this accounting of the torturous life of Padre Pio, a priest and stigmata who is now Santo Pio, or Saint Pius. Castellito is eerily like Pio, and the images of the Italian countryside are some of the most gorgeous I've ever seen in a film.
