The use of mindfulness, meditation and spirituality in their own clinical or legal work are used throughout as ways of helping individuals cope with traumatic experiences . But the emphasis is on empirically sound therapeutic approaches to resolving posttraumatic stress, anxiety, depression and secondary effects of injury to brain or body. Family interaction and training of practitioners, teachers, mediators, ministers and others is considerably important and addressed directly.
