The pain of that loss caused him to seek advice from an aunt who was a psychologist. She told him to write his feelings down. Thus began his poetry writing. His work is from experiences in his life or the lives of his loved ones. After years of moving, he settled down back in Cleveland, Texas, where heas a single father battling cancer. Five percent of his profits from this book will go to the American Cancer Society for cancer research.
