This is one of two books written about the trial of John Landis over the deaths on THE TWILIGHT ZONE MOVIE. This one is written by two film critics and looks not just at the details of the tragedy, but at how it fits within the Hollywood establish- ment. According to the fly-leaf, "it exposes the excesses and hubris of the world's most glamourous and seductive profession." Very accessible, informa- tive, and entertaining reading. As Hollywood insiders, these authors are more industry-centered in their book than the other book about the Tragedy which is "Special Effects." If you're looking for a more true-crime type story, you're better off with the other book.

Disturbing
This is a great book for the hollywood bashers or those who dislike John Landis. This story concerns itself with the fateful night where three people were killed while shooting the movie. The authors explain the details leading up to the tragic night right through those who tried to cover up the mistakes. This is a really upsetting book that might make some people sick, especially the description of the aftermath. I grew very ill while reading it, but it is well written and worth a look at.
