I had previously read Lies of Saints which is book 3 in this series, which I thoroughly enjoyed as I had never read anything by this author. I ordered Out of the Shadows which is book 1. I had a harder time getting into this book. Would read a little, set it down for a while, read more later. It isn't a bad book, just not as much going to keep my interest up.
