THIS copy with the bookplate of Elizabeth Pentland Baird, who lived in Hawaii with a view, from her backyard, of Diamond Head. That scene was etched by H. Nelson Poole, a local and talented etcher, for her bookplate, which adorns the inside cover of this volume.
