James Bacque, whose accusations were for a time suppressed in the USA, claims that, in the US Army camps of Germany and France at the end of World War II, almost four million German soldiers were held prisoner outdoors, in unsheltered barbed-wire enclosures, with little or no water, for months on end. At least 750,000, he contends, died of malutrition and disease.
