An extremely well-researched in-depth book. Great ammunition for the "separation of church and state" debate. We all know that it is not in the constitution but in a letter from Thomas Jefferson. David Barton points out that Jefferson had minimal input in the development of the constitution and was actually out of the country when it was written. Not a light-read but very informative.

Thought provoking
I originally bought this book when looking for a Government curriculum for my 10th grader. After I started reading it I realized what a treasure I had found. Upon reading it you will see how far our government has strayed from the original intent of our forefathers. If you have a desire to know truth about what the founders of our country truly wanted--Read this book!
