In the first edition the author offered clinical vignettes detailing more than thirty of his patients. In the revised edition, published fifteen years later, he includes a brief "update," writing of how Gestalt therapy impacted each of their lives. The author was one of the first to provide therapeutic services to AIDs victims from Manhattan's Gay Community and shares some of his moving experiences with his gay clients.
