This is a hilarious account of a man's journey through learning to glide and eventually succeeding in competitions. I first came across it when I borrowed it from the local library. My partner picked it up first and started reading it and annoyed me all the time by regular bouts of laughter. When I eventually got my hands on it I realised why! All pilots have probably gone through some similar experiences at some time, so most people will certainly identify with the scrapes he got into. It is also so readable that anyone should enjoy it, pilot or not.
