I discovered Sue Hubbell several years back when I found "A Country Year" in a used book store. Since then, I've re-read it on an annual basis. This year, I purchased additional books and continue to enjoy reading about her experiences with life on a farm, beekeeping, seasons, pets, and general life lessons. A Country Year is still my favorite, but this book was also enjoyable.
If you enjoy this type of writing -- about rural life, nature, etc. I would also recommend Hal Borland's "This Hill, This Valley" and "Sundial of the Seasons" and Gladys Taber's Stillmeadow books.
