Si direbbe che non possa essere abitato che da castori e da foche, e si pensa che gli abitanti, poich??? c'??? gente tanto ardita da starvi, non ci debbano dormire coll'anima in pace. Pensai queste cose la prima volta che guardai una grande carta dell'Olanda, e mi venne il desiderio di sapere qualche cosa intorno alla formazione di questo singolare paese; e siccome quello che ne seppi mi determin??? a fare il libro, lo scrivo qui, colla speranza che possa determinare altri a leggerlo.
