Jack Guthrie was an Oklahoma native whose song Oklahoma Hills reached No. 1 in 1945 and topped the charts for 19 weeks. The song was originally composed by his cousin Woodie Guthrie and first recorded and released by Jack Guthrie; Jack's version was a hit for Capitol records (Capitol 201). The sheet music has a picture of Jack Guthrie on the front cover; the rear panel contains advertising for other Capitol Songs publications. Inner two sheets contain sheet music for the song Oklahoma Hills. Owner name on top edge and small music store stamp on bottom Metropolitan Song Shop which is partially on lower corner of picture on front. No tears or chips, suitable for framing.
