While we record, in this general way, our obligations to many writers and teachers, we may be allowed to mention specifically the works of Francis Parkman - notably his Montcalm and Wolfe as a source of inspiration - and the series of Historic Highways of America, by A. B. Hulbert, as a mine of topographical and historical facts.
