Judge Crockett's life story is so compelling, and this book is fantastic. The book is great for the layperson, and the footnotes and documentation are a goldmine for the lawyer or historian.
I turned to this book and Judge Crockett's perseverance for inspiration many times this past year as I was investigating and preparing to file a civil rights class action lawsuit in Federal Court.
Judge Crockett's issues in the 20th century are equally pertinent today. As an attorney, I highly recommend this book as an essential guidebook to every attorney and activist who is willing and able to struggle for justice in our fractured society.
