A kind of master's thesis set to a rockin' beat, "The History of the Concept of the Soul" comes as close as any song has in explaining the meaning of life in under two minutes. Catchy and irresistible, the song was a staple of punk rock mix tapes in the late 1980s. Although the rest of the album is fleshed out with other strong tunes, MTX had still not yet reached their creative peak. Like Everybody's Entitled to Their Own Opinion, the Lookout!
