Duotone illustrated NYC landscape on the endpapers. 45 illustrations in aquatone from photographs by John J. Floherty. This is a gorgeous copy, only the light spine edge creases make it less than fine. There is a book plate (Stuart B. Schimmel, renowned book collector) on the front pastedown. Unclipped pictorial jacket has the original $3.50 price on the front flap. There are minor chips at the extremities, one large closed tear on the front panel, obscured by the dark background of a New York night light imagery. in mylar sleeve. A prolific author of advventure and mystery books, a former New Yorker "cuts through much of New York's false glamour and many of its myths.
