Johnny Rogan keeps the focus on the music- and he hits it right, giving an in-depth view of Neil Youn'g music and albums, song by song. It makes you appreciate even more the incredible body of work by Neil. He elevates the moody album - 'On The Beach' - and rightly so, since this was Neil at his best, and reaching deep within himself. Credit Mr. Rogan for this, and many more insights. Written by a fan, no doubt, but he doesn't shy away from what he considers his shortcomings, even from the much vaunted 'Harvest' album. He points out the highs and lows, with enough biographical information to fill out the story of Neil's music. Even though written 30 years ago, it's still essential reading for fans of Neil Young
