Text is browned and a bit fragile, but quite clean, with little damage. Binding very stable. Has several hundred b&w illustrations. Paper-covered boards are tight & straight, with some soilage at top of front (with it's full-color portrait of the famous Napoleon) and some on the back (with its color rendition of a military award from Napolen). Spine protected by blue tape, which has a tear at the top and a few spots. Rare, especially in such good shape.
