Near Fine in Very Good Plus jacket. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. Brian O'Nolan, also known with the pseudonyms Flann O'Brien and Myles na Gopaleen, penned the great modernist comic novel "At Swim-two-Birds." This is a Near Fine copy of a critical appreciation anthology, containing six essays in addition to a poem from the Irish by O'Nolan. A surprisingly uncommon title. Olive cloth binding, titled on the spine in gilt. Clean text; 134 pages, with bibliographic notes. Frontis portrait drawing by Seaumas O'Sullivan, and six other illustrations. Tiny bit of spotting to page edges, and with only a hint of a lean; very close to a Fine copy. The dustwrapper is Very Good (Plus), with light edgewear. The yellow paper does show some inevitable light soiling, but presents very nicely. In an archival plastic protector.
