The moon was a metaphor for the unattainable: "You might as well ask for the moon", they used to say. Now with Sputnik, my dreams can be a reality. Bill Bell wants to share his space and Faith journey with you. I was blessed on my journey by a loving God, who made each day at NASA an adventure and a dream come true. My career working for NASA began at the Saturn V Rocket Facility in New Orleans, La. It was here that I become friends with two rocket scientist. Their names are Wernher Von Braun, who was in charge of The Saturn V Rocket Program and a Russian Scientist named Rubin. I followed my dream by supporting NASA at Johnson Space Center, in the field of Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA). It has allowed me to work with Astronauts for their Spacewalks, Apollo Moon Missions, and the International Space Station.
